Founded in 2012 in the heart of Yerevan, at 10/5 Northern Avenue, Sorriso Café began with a simple idea — to bring a taste of authentic Italian gelato to Armenia. The founders, inspired by their travels through Italy, discovered that Yerevan was missing the magic of true Italian gelato — the kind made with time-honored techniques and real ingredients. They dreamed of blending that tradition with Armenia’s fresh, vibrant fruits, creating a combination so unique it could surprise even the Italians themselves.

Sorriso, meaning “Smile” in Italian, was built on one simple promise, to make every guest feel truly at ease. From the very beginning, we’ve focused on creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. We designed dedicated kids’ rooms, developed special menus for children, and thoughtfully prepared dishes for vegans and guests with allergies, ensuring that every visitor can find something to enjoy. Every detail, from the cozy atmosphere to the caring attitude of our team, reflects our belief that comfort comes not only from good food but also from genuine attention.
